I am Julie Whelan, a native Ohioan in the UK for 20+ years and now in Knutsford, Cheshire. Photography is my passion and the thing that slows me down (in a good way!), allows me to notice and capture moments, smiles, small details so they don't get lost. With a camera, we can create art out of the wonderful things happening every day we may otherwise miss.
Photography has become such an big part of our everyday lives. An important part of my job is to teach the new generation of young photographers. Children learn quickly and find freedom with a digital camera. Through after school clubs, hands on dslr workshops, one to one sessions, skills for Duke of Edinburgh's Award and even children's parties, children will learn not only photography skills but also how to build their creativity, story-telling skills, team building and confidence in completing projects.
