I am Julie Whelan, a native Ohioan in the UK for 20+ years and now in Cheshire. Photography is my passion and the thing that slows me down (in a good way!), allows me to notice and capture moments, smiles, small details so that they don't get lost. With a camera, I can create art out of the wonderful things happening every day we may otherwise miss.
My photography style is relaxed and natural. I don't use a studio and prefer to capture you, your family, your pet, your event at a location of your choice where you feel most comfortable. This could be your home, garden, park, city, etc. If you need any advice, do ask and I'll help you find a backdrop that suits you.
Another important part of what I do is teaching children about creative digital photography. Children learn quickly and find freedom with a camera. I teach hands on dslr workshops, one to one sessions, skills for Duke of Edinburgh's Award. and currently organising after school clubs. This is an exciting new venture and I'm hoping to be able to someday provide all equipment to children who do not own their own camera ... watch this space.
